Here's the last car for this weekend's car. This is a resto-rod 1962 Buick Invicta that belongs to my good friend Richard. Richard let us use his black 1940 Ford streetrod at my January class. He trusts Autogeek with all his cars.

When this car arrived one of my friends looked at it and said it looked so nice. I thought it did to and for that reason I wasn't going to use it for the class. It was cloudy out and when the clouds block the sun the paint looked PERFECT!

I said... wait for it... and then... the clouds moved out of the way and the sun lit up the paint and guess what we discovered?

Holograms

See the lines that look holographic in the paint?

Here's a closer shot - these are holograms.
Richard bought this car at the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee and this is the way the paint was when he bought it.

Swirls with some holograms trailing to the right side of the sun burst....

Here's some shots of the holograms the day of the class. Notice all the other cool cars in the background? This was taken on the first day of the class, Friday, May 6th, 2016

Beautiful car and when my class gets done it will be perfect.

About our classes...

On Friday, we bring in cool cars. You learn how to use all the tools, not just one brand but all the brands and all the tools in the brand. Friday is all about learning what I call,

The art of polishing paint

I explain why it's an art forum in the introduction to my how-to book,

The Complete Guide to a Show Car Shine (http://www.autogeek.net/detailing-books.html)

So if you have the book, read the intro, you'll see what I have to say about paint polishing being an art form.

Saturday is where you learn all about "Production Car Detailing" and this is where I bring in modern daily drivers. I also cover engine detailing removing scratches out of windshields, headlight restoration, the aggressive method to washing a car and tons of other topics.

Sunday is learning the art of wet sanding. You learn both hand sanding techniques and machine sanding techniques as well as how to use a rotary buffer. You also will get to use hot water extractors, Tornador tools and Dupray Steam Cleaners plus a lifetime of techniques for detailing ever inch, inside and out of a car, truck or suv.

All my classes always fill up. Here's a tip... the September class fills up the fastest.
