Hey everyone. Just joined the forum today and am looking to purchase a Flex 3401 VRG DA polisher. I was looking at the Flex kits and I was thinking about getting this one with the three Lake Country CCS pads:

FLEX XC3401 VRG Orbital Polisher Kit with Free FLEX Polisher Bag, FLEX Dual Action Polisher and storage bag, FLEX bag kit (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-polisher-kit-bag.html)

1. Which color pads should I get for my three choices? I'll be using it on a 2013 Mini Cooper in pretty good condition, some swirls but nothing major. I was thinking orange, white, and blue.

However, I noticed that Lake Country has new hybrid power finish foam pads and they come highly suggested but I didn't see a Flex kit with these new hybrid pads. Maybe I missed it.

2. Will the CCS pads be enough or should I also get the Lake Country hybrid pads too?
3. If so, which size should I get, 5" or 6.5"?
4. Finally, which colors?

This question has probably been asked and answered dozens of times. If so, please post a link me to that thread and I'll read through it.

Thanks in advance.

I would go with this kit; get the bag separate.

Wolfgang FLEX XC3401 Polishing & Swirl Remover Kit, wolfgang polishes, flex buffer, menzerna, lake country (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-flex-polisher-kit.html)

Order the backing plate kit here as 5 and 4 inch pads will be better for you on this vehicle:

FLEX XC3401 Changeable Backing Plate System (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-xc3401-backing-plates.html)

Order one additional set of 3 pads, 1 cutting pad and 2 more polishing pads (4" in size).

Note that the hybrid and CCS pads work very well for me.

Ok. Thanks. I think I'd rather get the free DVD and book in that kit you listed than the free Flex bag.

I think lake country is coming out with new pads called force pads. They are thicker and have a cooling hole. I'm waiting to hear back on when autogeek might get them. I would wait for these honestly. It looks like they will work with the flex oem backing plates which would be awesome since I don't care for the interchangeable kit.

No big deal if you don't wait though. The hybrid pads are still really good on the 3401. I've done tons of vehicles with them. These new force ones I think are to replace the hybrids.
