I wasn't sure I liked "THE WET LOOK" from the Duragloss 201, so I thought I would give the 221 a try. I wiped down the interior with a woolite mix to remove the old 201.

The Label: It was straight with a simple design. It clearly states it is formulated with mink oil and lanolin, NON OILY, IT PENTRATE AND SOFTENS are in bold caps on the front of the lable. I would agree with that discription. I have one issue with the label. I wish "THE WET LOOK" discription on the front of the package was more visible. I did not notice "THE WET LOOK" down the side of the bottle. It is in small white print. The manufacturers address, phone # and website are on the back.

Application / Directions: Directions clearly state to sake well, apply to clean, dry surface (if soiled, clean first with Duragloss LS, Leather shampoo part No. 441)

Smell: The label states it contains a leather extract which enhances the natural leather scent. I agree, it is not strong, but it smells like leather.

Cleaning ability: I already wiped the interior down with woolite so there was not real test on the cleaning ability. Based on the above manufacturers suggestion to use Duragloss LS, Leather Shampoo I would guess it has little clean ability.

Appearance: Well it is still "THE WET LOOK" (Darn it) I am not sure if I am getting use to the wet look or is this has less of a greasy look than the 201. Here are some pics so you can decide.

It's still streaky, not as bad as the 201 so..... what am I doing wrong?

yea that looks kind of glossy to me... how do the seats feel? slippery or making squeaky noises when you sit on them?

did you buff the seats with another dry MF? This may help the glossyness, takinf off excess product.

I want to try a new leather conditioner, prob 4 star, but Lexol has worked well for me so far and NEVER glossy or shiny.

Thanks for the review tonya

Great review. It is a nice product for the buck, but I still prefer Four Star or Wolfgang/Pinnacle as they condition leather even better...

I have a Hyundai also and I think the cheap quality of the leather affects the end results. I can use the same products on my car and on the Mercury Grand Marquis and they never end up looking as nice as it does on the Saab or Volvo in our household. On cheaper leather, they tend to look greasy, unless you wipe them down whereas on higher quality leather, the product seems to soak in and leave a very nice, natural sheen. So I would take that into consideration. If it's too much shine for your taste, I highly suggest taking a towel and wiping off the excess product.

As for the DG Leather conditioner, in my stash of products it's my favorite so far. I really like the light, leather scent it leaves behind.

Nice review! Take an old MF and wipe down after dry. This will knock down the glossiness. DG#201 is made for pure leather and your seats have a protected coating and that’s why you have streaks. MF will take care of it.
I have an MF that I use just for that.

the dg works great on our noncoated leather. i like it better than 4star even though 4star is nice. i have four favorite leather conditioners and these are two of them.

I just tried the 201 last week and really liked it. It left a semi-gloss sheen and smelled like shaving cream IMO. It left a nice look w/ no streaks. Good product.

I actually just picked up some 201 last week as well. Man I love this stuff, it smells like fresh linen to me :) It's finish it just about what I've been looking for. I wanted something to just make that small difference on certain interior plastic. (Great price / Great Result / Small Application :awesome:)
