What would be a better choice the Duramaid smart 1700 or the Mytee 8070. I don't use that often so I just need a small unit.
The mytee has 120 psi and the Duramaid has only 60 psi.
Mytee has a 1000 watt heater and the Duramaid has a 1700 watt heater
Not sure about the vac difference.
Anybody have input. on these vacs

The mytee has a noticeably higher water lift, 20 or 30 inches. If I also remember correctly the water temp on the mytee is 10 or 20 degrees higher as well, so if the duramaid has a higher heater wattage it must not be an inline heater? I'm not too sure psi has a huge benefit in auto detailing. The high end carpet extractors for residential carpet cleaning companies are 400psi.

I have a Durrmaid 1700 that i've been using for a few months now. Not a huge fan....It works for what it's for. The pressure is not great, it is not an inline heater, but it gets damn hot though! (wear gloves!) Vacuum wise, it seems to be ok, not great. I'll pick up a Mytee when I get a bigger van and have more room......

I purchased a Sandia Indy Automotive 3 Gallon Extractor w/ Inline heater. Check it out online, great price and it's worked perfectly for me.

Or you can surf the net and see if there are ones that are a year old and dramatically cheaper.

I have the Mytee S300, it's inexpensive enough for a weekend warrior, and it has excellent water lift. I recommend checking it out.
