So I finally got around to cleaning up the outside of my new car. Don't mind the wheels I'm taking them off tomorrow to clean and seal them.

I washed then clayed with a mother's clay bar kit then used my pc with a white pad and the stage 1 pinnacle xmt polish, wasn't trying to remove much so I figured to go with less cut, then menzerna power lock sealant. My issue was after I used the polish it was difficult to remove some spots, I had to really rub it to get it off, and I had powder from it everywhere. It was warm out but I was in my shop in the shade. I'm new to using any of this stuff. Is this just what happens or did I use to much or just run it too long and it dried out?

And how do I clean the sealant out of the pad? Is there anything around the house that can be used?

looks like you over use product.

and I use mineral spirits or IPA for sealant in my pads, some sealants however are stubborn and don't want to come out easy!

How do you use them? Pour a little on and scrub it out or fill up something and soak them?

I've had the same issue with using a polish. Will follow along for any tips here. My guess was I worked the product in too much and dried it out.

A trick I like to use is M205 one or two drops with a spritz of water. Learned this trick from Kevin Brown. It really helps when you have sticky paint!!
