After about 25-30 hrs I finally declared I'm finished. 2001 zo6
Using menzerna 400 and 3500 - Lake Country' s Hydro-Tech
black light
845 wax
it was hard to cut out the bigger scratches. the finer scratches seemed to buff right out. I wished i had something more aggressive to start. Maybe some 5000 sanding discs would of helped greatly, I'm not sure.
here are some pics i took of the progress. HOPE YOU LIKE

I was just thinking about this project today. Thanks for the follow up! Looks great! Pics don't do it justice I'm sure. I love your "declaration" of being done too :) Spoken like someone who has finally completed a labor of love.
What are your thoughts overall? Happy with the results? Regards,

Beautiful! It's a great feeling to do that yourself. And on black too...the detailers doctorate thesis!

Looks very nice!
I have an '03 Z06, but it's vinyl wrapped in 3M gloss white.

If you have a Flex, wool pads would have helped you tremensously, if a normal DA, then microfiber pads would have helped. Nice job though, looks great

Very true. I love using TufBuff and Polish Angel lambswool pads with my 3401.
Looks like he has a PC; MF pads would have been great, as you said.

I now wish I would have got a mf and or a wool pad.
I may end up doing that, buy may try find a friend to help me as that seems a little more high level/risk than what I did.
Thanks ALL It was a lot of work but a fun project.....Now to maintain.
