Here's a short video I just made showing the condition of the paint on the Lincoln.

Just confirmed this Dodge Truck for our wetsanding class.

In my classes, you work on real vehicles with custom paint jobs - not demo hoods and fenders. I've used demo hoods and fenders in the past - the problem is they have no real-world impact.
What has real impact is when you have to learn how to sand and then buff on an entire car or truck. You have to work around body lines, edges, door handles, trim, wipers, etc.
You don't get this when all you do is sand on a flat hood. Thus... there's no impact.

It has a modern but very abused basecoat/clearcoat finish.
Also - this will be a GREAT teaching example for my guests from 303 Products to demonstrate their 303 Aerospace Protectant as well as one of my favorite products, 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner.
The class will be MACHINE CLEANING this top for sure.

Just added these two cars to the first page of this thread,

There's simply NO OTHER CLASS like a Mike Phillips class. None. Zero. Zilch.
That is... until everyone starts to copy me.

The 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe has arrived.
Looks pretty good if didn't know any better?

But a trained professional detailer knows how to use the SUN to see the true condition of the paint.
Why do the people that own these kinds of cars so freaking clueless as to how to do super simple stuff like polish paint?
What you see below are DA Sanding marks NOT removed.

These are just your basic swirls...
http://www.autogeekonline.net/galler..._Class_030.JPG
http://www.autogeekonline.net/galler..._Class_031.JPG
These are HOLOGRAM scratches from the misuse of a rotary buffer or rotary polisher and DA Sanding Marks or sanding scratches not removed
http://www.autogeekonline.net/galler..._Class_032.JPG
http://www.autogeekonline.net/galler..._Class_033.JPG
These last two shots are the paint on the roof and "yes" again these are holograms.

The people that own these cars can spend a ton of money on the engine, suspension, transmission, etc. but they are clueless when it comes to the simple stuff.

The bright side is - gives me a great training car.
