Re: Review: 3D ONE Hybrid Cutting Compound and Finishing Polish
I have been finding One cuts really well for me. What I can expect from a compounding pad, I can achieve with a polishing pad and one thus far.
A far as finish polishing, kinda the same principal, I can polish out pretty well with a pad that has no mechanical cutting ability.
I find this a pressure sensitive polish also. Applying pressure on the first 2 passes then only keeping light pressure(just a touch above machine weight) produces the best finish for me.
Does One cut as good as some of my favorite compounds? ...NO
Does One finish as good as some of my favorite polishes? ...NO
But It does have a very broad range with abilities from cut to finish which is impressive.
This polish makes wonder if any of the cutting ability is chemical induced???
And I like the smell although I can’t figure out what it reminds me of.

Good stuff, Jim. I REALLY like the user friendliness. Well lubricated(smooth buffing cycle) and easy to wipe off. No dust so far. I also like the fact it's non-diminishing. It definitely has some good qualities.

Don was saying there were no chemical paint softeners, like kerosene for example, in the video 3D posted on YouTube.
I've only used it so far on my white car with a Blue B&S pad. It was able to remove some light swirls, and finish out as glossy as any good finishing polish - on a white car. I have a couple black cars coming up this week to try it on.
I really want to test it's cutting abilities.

I also like the non diminishing abrasives!
I agree with everything you said right there too.

This says it all. Nice post, Doc.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

TY!
Certainly say something for the abrasives in it then. Impressive.

Re: Review: 3D ONE Hybrid Cutting Compound and Finishing Polish
Did some more testing on soft black paint with ONE:
Rupes Yellow Foam = slight scouring under correct lighting.
B&S Uro-Tec Maroon = heavy scouring under correct lighting.
Lake Country SDO Black Pad = very slight scoring under correct lighting. You have to REALLY look for it.
B&S White Flat Pad = could not see any scouring. Best finish of all pads I have used with ONE
Remember, this is *scrutinized* finish testing on black paint on the softer side. Not ultra soft.

Re: Review: 3D ONE Hybrid Cutting Compound and Finishing Polish
Did another vehicle yesterday and today that I honestly thought I would need a dedicated heavy cut. It was a Chrysler 300s in a beautiful red metallic paint.
Rupes yellow pad, Mark ll 21 and a few slow passes knocked it out awesome!
