Re: BLACKFIRE SiO2 Spray Sealant review by Mike Phillips
I'm sold on the blackfire si02 stuff. That's after coming from reload and McKees 10 minute paint sealant, I like the way that the blackfire spreads, it doesn't flash off immediately, and waits 15 to 30 seconds so you can see where you been… Very easy to use, great gloss.

Thanks Mike, I’ve used this product recently and it performs on par with reload, but a lot cheaper if purchased by the gallon. Can it be the used as drying aid for added protection?

To be honest I have not used it as a drying aid.
I will test out next time I wash the wife's or my car.

Looking forward to using this. I backed out of the can coat, changed my order, and got this instead. I like the simple forward application process.

Re: BLACKFIRE SiO2 Spray Sealant review by Mike Phillips
I applied this last October. It spent most of the winter covered in salt. I never touched the paint but I did do the pay and spray a half dozen times from October to March. On the hood and roof it was still beading relentlessly in March. The sides that catch the most abuse didn't start to "drop off" in performance until March, as well. I was more than impressed with this stuff. It was abused and held up extremely well.

Yup we launched the marine 31 stuff on hull truth also, remember? Did you ever find your boat for the detailing class?

Sounds like you’re not in Arizona this winter... how bad was the winter where you are? That’s impressive that it lasted this long.
