AT SEMA we were told a kit will be approximately $500.00

    The kit includes,

    1. Storage case (obviously)
    2. One tool
    3. Battery charger
    4. 2 of the larger batteries

Backing plate for sure on the XFE7 free spinning polisher I don't know about the rotary.

I don't know when the AG store will start taking pre-orders but my guess is at Mobile Tech Expo, Bob Eichelberg will be there, (I'm teaching classes with him), and he will let give us the latest updates.

Was thinking about one of this for wax (which is extremely NOT cost effective) or very light pre wax polishing. Just annoying to lug the cord around for light correcting or waxing.

I spoke to my buddy Ty Hauer today,

    This is Ty

Ty is a custom car builder and he's going to get both for use at car shows after cars are set-up and in the booth.

New 2015 Season of My Classic Car - Pinnacle Compound & Flex 3401

Ty already owns both the corded versions of PE14 and FLEX 3401

Ty Hauer - one heck of a great guy!

Mike, I hope all is well with Ty. I remember the story you told me about this car too. I’m with Ty on this one too - I am willing to invest in these cordless Flex tools too when I can get hold of them. Tell me Mike, is the plan to make the 3401 cordless still a thing?

A great write up Mike on two great looking tools. I seen them when I was at SEMA this past fall. It was only a matter of time before the polishers and buffers go cordless, and what a company like Flex to do it. I have two of their tools and they are quality, l’m sure these new cordless ones will be a great addition to their line.

My prediction before SEMA and I think I've been vindicated was that these two new cordless polishers would be the biggest hit and biggest news in our industry to break at SEMA.

    Did I miss anything?

I'm hoping to get the special car I've been saving for my full review next week. Left the owner a voice mail yesterday, hoping to hear back today.

True. Not sure we can credit Flex to be the first, however.

Milwaukee had their 7" M18 Fuel Variable Speed Polisher out for a bit now.

Oddly enough, I got excited with the Flex versions (I'm a Flex guy, even have their extension cord) but I didn't get excited about the Milwaukee (I love their tools as well)

Looks amazing, would be nice if they sold a tool only or a kit with the smaller battery. When I use my Ryobi tools for a decent period I definitely notice a difference in how tired my arm gets between the 1.4ah and the 4.0ah battery. Either way this is on my to buy list. My G15 polisher was recently stolen So I'm shopping for a replacement

The FLEX XFE15 series are free spinning, 15mm long stroke orbital polishers.

The FLEX 3401 series are gear-driven 8mm short stroke orbital polishers.

And yes, the gear-driven FLEX 3401 is coming out as a cordless tool.

I just sent a text to my buddy with the uber cool car asking him when I can get it down here to AG to buff out using these two tools so I can write a full review based upon real world, real car detailing.

Any word on the Flex 3401 cordless coming out soon? Will be upgrading my Porter Cable 7424XP first quarter 2019.

    Thanks Mike!
