Well - end of day 1

If you watched the video - you heard me say,

“The announcement of these three new cordless tools will be the BIGGEST announcement in the car detailing world at SEMA”

Now that day 1 is over - am I right? Or am I wrong?

What trumps cordless polishers from FLEX?

A replacement for the XC 3401 that addresses all the niggling issues that people have been complaining about for years? Either corded or cordless. Just a guess.

Excellent example Joe! I see these more a niche tool (like the Rupes Nano) vs. a use all the time tool. Perfect for busting out for quick touch-up, or as you say, doing a 'teaser' section, but not for using for a full correction.

Question Re: NEX FLEX Cordless Polishers!

Is there a soft rubber bumper that comes with the tool to cover the battery pack to help prevent accidental damage of the battery pack upon hitting or touching a vehicle's surface or is this as an accessory? Thanks.

It will probably last a while in the beginning then drop off. I could see why mobile guys might want thins but I dont think anyone with a garage would bother. I know I wouldn't. Its not like having a cord is some major inconvenience and you dont have to deal with batteries dying. The corded tool will always have more power over the long hual. Maybe Im wrong but I dont see a lot of people biting on these.

Most lithium battery powered tools maintain perfomance and then just die

The way I see this is if the battery lasts long enough to go through 1 or 2 pads, then it's great. You'll have a charger nearby already charging another battery and as you swap pads you swap batteries too. If the weight of the tool didn't get crazy heavy due to the battery, I think this is a winner and will set a new standard. Everyone hates cords.
No they dont everyone hates when batteries die

I think that is why the battery is rotated 90° from normal. This gets the battery up out of the way and less chance to hit the vehicle
