Have never tried Rupes w M101, foam or microfiber. For some reason iv gotten in the habit of using Megs M101, 205 with Flex, D300, Rupes, Menzerna with LHR15.

I did find that Flex, m101, gray pad was quicker than FCC, LHR 15, Boss white fast correcting foam pad.

Which is better in what way? Personally I like the Rupes better.

Good question... one of the things about this question is most people don't get this deep. Like I stated in my original post most people don't think that hard about it... they just ask...

    Which tool is better...

    See? No thinking...

Now you of course AeroCleanse do more thinking...

Just like the random person that asks me how much to detail the interior of a Jeep Cherokee..

They are both GOOD tools. Very different, however. My detail on Saturday, I tried 15mm, but ended up using the Flex 3401. It did awesome!

By the time today is over I will have used the RUPES system on an old 4-door Olds. Last week I used the FLEX 3401 on a modern muscle car.

Here's what I say... (besides what I wrote about apples and oranges in the first post of this thread),

If the tool work... I can work it...

If the tool doesn't work... no one can work it...

You can quote me on that one...

Now this would be comparing apples to apples

    Or oranges to oranges.

That would be to compare the FLEX XFE7 to the RUPES BigFoot 15 to the Griot's BOSS 15

I'll stick to what I wrote previously in this thread and that is,

If the tool work... I can work it...

If the tool doesn't work... no one can work it...

The key thing would be after making your decision... invest the time behind the tool and get good with it. They all work.

I've been getting these giant vans, a friend wants me to help with boats this summer... I'm literally on break, half way through an "Option 2" (Polish/Seal) on a full size van. That 6.5" gear driven 3401 would be real sweet right about now. One thing that is for sure, is that there will be another 3401 in the stable here real soon.

The Duetto and this van... Nope, not friends. The old PC is killing it, but that 5.5" pad is just tiny compared to the van.
