What a great show!
What's great about our local car show is many of the cars on display have either been detailed at one of our Competition Ready Detailing Classes or used for detailing projects like product reviews.
This 1951 Mercury belongs to my good friend Larry.

I met Larry YEARS ago back in 2001 when this car was in satin black. I may have never recognized it from when I first saw it except when I first saw it I spotted the genuine Halibrand wheels on it and made a note in my write up about both the cars and the wheels here,

Larry had the car painted a dark metallic blue and then flames added by the Crazy Horse Flame Shop. Somewhere along the trail the paint was buffed and left with holograms in the finish.
RUPES was getting ready to introduce their new Mark II BigFoot polishers and I called Chip Case and asked if I get some of these new tools to test out and do a write-up BEFORE they were shown and introduced at SEMA and Chip said "yes" and then sent the tools over along with Todd Helme and Alberto Quiroscabrera.
Here's a picture I took before these tools were revealed to the public

After removing the swirls, I then used this car for a full blown step-by-step how-to article and review for how to use Wolfgang Ceramic Paint Coating.

It's incredibly rewarding to see cars that have been through one of Autogeek's many programs on display at Detail Fest or any car show.
