This is amazing. One time I told them not to wash my car and they did and I was so pissed.
Here is a picture of a porsche panamera that has 1000 miles on it. It was given to my dad as a rental car when his car was in for service.
Insane... someone just brought a brand new Hyundai Veloceter by my place to have a look at some 'marks' on the hood that they noticed after the dealer had 'prepped the car'. It looked like someone was pretty rough when removing the shipping protection that was stuck to the car and left a ton of scratches on the hood... plus the rest of the car was completely swirled out... it had 150 miles on it
Couple 'o years ago, took my truck in for "a recall," service writer went out to get the VIN, came back in and said, "I don't think you would want us to wash it, do you?" Come to find out, they ask each and every customer if they want the wash or not.
Nice. I have seen it with dealerships, body shops. They hack up your paint when they wash. I always warn my family members they never listen then I get a call to swing buy and fix it. They are not super picky but it's some cash that gets put in my pocket. No matter how many times I say you don't have to pay me they do. I always tell them next time call me and have me wash the car. You can go down the street and have chopped up by the car wash or your next service department wash or spend a little more money and have it done the right way.
