Less than impressive it seems.

IronX not doing anything | defective???
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a success story regarding a coating vs. bonded contaminants.
On the other hand: Even surprising to me, a friend and former co workers Dodge Charger which I had initially clayed, corrected & sealed, then recommended Meguiars D115 for his regular maintenance waterless washing was contaminant free, smooth as glass and passing the baggy test after 3 whole years.
At that 3yr. mark I was set to repeat the process on his car but when I began the claying I was sort of stunned that there was nothing for the claybar to pick up. [white Meguiars claybar]
Is that crazy or what?
He does a waterless wash with Megs D115 about every 3-4 days. Car sits outside 24-7 here in Los Angeles, not far from where I live where the contaminants are extremely high. I can’t even get HD Speed to last even a week here.

Application error i'm sure. And/Or maybe just lack of maintenance. Carpro UK didn't do any better.

Re: IronX not doing anything | defective???
I'm surprised that my post grew to 5 pages. My car has no garage, is parked outside 24x7, but has ceramic pads for which I cannot detect dusting compared to the oem semi-metallics. I drive around in Boston where there are crummy roads and probably a decent amount of air pollution. But my test use of an older bottle of Iron X and a new bottle of Meguiars's clay decontaminating spray showed zero iron particle reactions.

Never tried BUT Meg's has good production produts as I use many of them. How does it stack up againt IronX?

I’ve never used Iron X. It’s more than 3x the cost and I don’t see how there could be much of a difference. IMO an iron remover either removes iron particles or it doesn’t. Similar to HDMI cables, there’s no need to pay for expensive HDMI because they all produce the same hi quality signal.
Maybe I’ll get a bottle of Iron X 1 day and test them head to head.
P.s. This Meguiars wheel cleaner doesn’t stink like rotten eggs. It’s unscented for the most part.

That's great to know. I figure they all smelled horrible. I actually have fireball's iron burn extra. Even cut 3:1 its horrible. I did have some ironx too it was probably a little better than fireball thinking about it but its only splitting hairs.
Next time i'm in canadian tire i might look for it. It's probably there.
I moved away from some of the carpro stuff personally, too pricey. Reset and ech20 will probably always be on my shelf however. But a lot of there cleaners are expensive; multix, MFX, lift, tire cleaner etc
