I understand that. ANTIFA and all the rioting was also extremely bad. And the left (CNN etc) did not do their fair share of covering that. I'm truly not on one side or the other. I can't stand both extremes. If I had to really break it down though, I'm concerned with some of what I consider the fascist element of the now Trump Republican party. They are as terrifying as the Marxists on the left.

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

Never gets old......haters of him still talk about Trump either purposefully to make a right turn or perhaps because they can't help themselves. People call him a Narcissist are just as infatuated with him if not more than they claim he is of himself and yet they wonder why he has a big head? The irony of it all. If the haters would stick to policies and topics vs him as a person they perhaps would deal him the biggest blow to an ego one could give. However, they can't talk about policies because he was pretty much spot-on and they'd be giving him credence. ffwd to today and the policies the left is pushing.....well, hello 2021 and the crap storm it's bringing. Congrats to Brandon!

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

I'll say it was embarrassing the "one time event" that was Jan 6, can't ignore the optics, no way no how. That said, where was the denouncing of looting and burning building in every major city during the spring/summer of 2020. I mean because it was so constant and wide spread it would've taken alot of energy...and nerve to call the people out doing it because as we all know they were "peacefully protesting". I think it's awesome that all their bosses gave them so much time off, those people are real heros...sorry, got my tongue stuck in my cheek for a minuteWhat's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

All Trump did was pass the Koch brothers big tax tax cut and start trade wars with China and Europe which we lost and cost us dearly, started to get us out of Afghanistan, all while advocating "##### grabbing." He failed on his infrastructure bill.
Policies. Most of the general media outlets, especially Fox, couldn't separate true socialism from Democratic Socialism, from Keynesian Economics to Austrian Economics. They laugh at Modern Monetary Theory because they're braindead. I always tuned in to Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Rush etc. and while they occasionally offer some good points, they are paid entertainers talking about policy which they don't have a clue about. It's pure rhetoric. And make no mistake, the left does too but his idea that if you focus on his policies then all would be well is a complete joke.

Yes, people still talk about Trump because they are wondering if the party is going to stand behind him or move on. January 6th was a big deal, incited from the top down.

Who cares if the party stands with Trump behind Trump, etc. Again, who cares about him as a person and why? His policies spoke to the people more than he did. He was never "my guy" but his policies were directly in line with my thinking. I don't need someone to speak for me or the way I would, I dont' care at all about that. Jan 6th was hardly a big deal. What was actually done that makes it a big deal? LOL. What makes it a big deal is the oddities that exist around it but I won't digress as this is a covid thread. Interesting that still so many are hung up on the 6th.....but then it's their hook into Trump that they too can't stop talking about.

IMO the reason so many are so hung up on Trump is he awoke the populist movement of so many that laid dormant for the most part and that scared the likes of Pelosi and her ilk and still do to this day. Especially anyone who is actually serious enough to lay their life on the line for things. Many of us have and will again and won't tolerate the riots, etc. They are okay with rioting and chaos but not when it comes for them or others actually strike back. it's why they were rooting for Kyle to go down but his victory showed them that self defense with force is still alive and a solid movement.

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

My line on this is that while 1/6 was definitely a clown car coup attempt, it's still an attempt, and the way that a lot of the long term political mobilizing gets done on the right is via long term culturalist woo woo nonsense about race, religion, specific defined meanings around the flag, etc. So 1/6 stuff can be built into a longer narrative arch about their completely detached from reality understanding of the world.

Dems are badly corrupt too, along with all of the FBI tactics of basically setting up many so called "terrorist" attacks themselves then recruiting for it (liberty city 7, etal). But this is a separate issue.

I'm fine with an emphasis on the national security state gone wild, but I'm decidedly much less comfortable with the implication that 1/6 was a small clown car event that should be dismissed. It was an attempted coup, amateur hour? Yes, but if you just act like it's not a big deal, it will simply create more motivation to recruit for future events.

So it's worth splitting those issues up a bit.

Was it really an attempt or a staged open door to simply let both "planted" antagonists and others who would follow, make a scene? Just too much BS odd about it. It was even apparent when watching it live as I was like W-T-F. I would also disagree on calling the nonsense about concerns related to race and the flag, etc. The truth is there is indeed a play of BS being pushed about America being racist, etc. If you buy into the whole collective America is evil then there's where our conversing about things will end because I won't even entertain that line of garbage.

The only motivation and organization around the breach were from non-Trump / conservatives. Those creating that we're not us. If that was the case there would have been tens of thousands moving on that place. There wasn't. It was a relatively small group of antagonists (bad actors against Trump), many of whom have been pointed out as having been ignored since when they could have easily been tracked down. They then sold a group of the fringe there to join in of course but the VAST majority of those rounded up thus far did nothing beyond trespassing and many that Tucker and others have had on air had nothing to do with it and weren't even on capital grounds.

It's ridiculous and scary at the same time. Again, goes to show there's ZERO credibility in Washington. The ilk in Washington are leveraging this just like the fake Russia Narrative and of course all the lame attempts that occurred over his term in office. So back to covid......time to move back to life. Whether people do so is up to them but many of us are over that crap.
