I agree.
Additionally, I'm of the opinion (based on my painting background) that LSPs have much less impact on overall appearance than the quality of the paint application and the polishing process. In fact, my experience is that most traditional LSPs will actually diminish the gloss level slightly from that of a perfectly polished, non-LSPd surface.

Yes!...and this is proven all the time by "Youtubers" that do gloss meter tests..
It's called marketing people.....from toothpaste to car wax.....come and spend your money with me...hmmmmmmmm feel good inside....

Yeah, I get that. I'm just looking to see if there's a better choice than what I've been using. I'm not looking for a body shop in a bottle.

Re: Show Car Wax/Sealant
I'd more than likely use Optimum Car Wax.
Mostly for it's ease of use. I suspect the spray on/wipe off nature of application, might reduce the risk of marring.
It also seems to look great, and does have a nice tactile feel.

Re: Show Car Wax/Sealant
These are some of the waxes I have used over the years:
Wolfgang Fuzion
Pinnacle Souveran
Pinnacle Signature Series II
Blackfire Midnight Sun
Collinite 476
Collinite 845
Meguiar’s M26
Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub
Dodo Juice Diamond White
Dodo Juice Hard Candy
McKee’s 37 Krystal Diamond SiO2 paste wax
DP Max Wax (I believe it is now relabeled as “The Brazilian”)
Collinite 915
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran
Meguiar’s Gold Class carnauba
Chemical Guys Pete’s 53
Chemical Guys 5050 Concours
Poorboy’s World Liquid Natty Blue
Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid
Optimum Car Wax
Meguiar’s M16
I’m probably forgetting a couple, but you get the idea. I’ve used a lot of different waxes. Some of the house brands of wax (Wolfgang Fuzion, Pinnacle Souveran, Pinnacle Signature Series II, and Blackfire Black Ice) you can get in smaller 3 oz. containers instead of the full size containers. Dodo Juice also offers 1 oz. jars of their waxes for less than $20. That being said, my two favorite waxes are Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub and McKee’s 37 Krystal Diamond SiO2 paste wax. Pinnacle Signature Series II is a pleasure to use as is Wolfgang Fuzion, and the option of a 3 oz. jar sweetens the deal.
The type of car the wax goes on is largely irrelevant - a Ferrari with swirled out paint wearing an expensive wax won’t look as good as a polished out Honda Civic wearing the same wax. Gloss comes from smoothness, and that means removing bonded contaminants, swirls and scratches, and anything else that would cause light to refract, rather than reflect, off the paint. The wax or sealant (or coating) is merely the sacrificial barrier that protects all that hard work. My $0.02.

Show Car Wax/Sealant
I was having lunch near a wholesale auction site the other day and saw 5 black Camry of the exact same model pull out and they were the shiniest cars I have ever seen in my life! I’ve spent thousands on all sorts of products and I have no idea what these guys used for their pre sale detail.
I’ve used QDs, waxes, sealants and coatings and I’ve never seen anything like it.

A Camary? Is that a Camaro/Camry hybrid?

Re: Show Car Wax/Sealant
Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. I decided I'm going to test/compare the following:
1) Collinite 915
2) Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant OR Menzerna/Jescar Ultra Lock (need to decide)
3) Collinite 915 on top of the WDGS or Ultra Lock
Why you ask? Because the list is endless, and the bottom line is good wax, good sealant, or good wax on top of good sealant. My guess is they will all look good.

Re: Show Car Wax/Sealant
I'd go the wax over the sealant route to get the benefits of both products.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.
