There is no way to know that you've "never got the flu" unless you were tested in a docs office each and every time you had a temperature or felt sick. Also, like most any virus, you can be infected and not have any measurable symptoms.

I'm sure this is all true and I'll admit I went to work one day, well before "the virusss", and I should've stayed home. My work ethic does not allow me to call in sick when I have basic sniffles, that's just me buy I'm never sick, I was too busy breaking bones as a kid because I was born with Osteogenesis imperfecta.

I was the same in my last job. We were allowed 10 days sick leave per year, I'd been there 32 years, and had 48 weeks sick leave available to me when I left. I had to be really sick to stay home. One of the guys I worked with had been there less than 10, and used up all his sick leave, than had to have surgery on his hip, the company gave him an extra 2 weeks and let him use 2 weeks annual leave in advance, but he still had to do 3 weeks unpaid. These days though, you have to go with caution, at the slightest symptoms, get tested, and isolate till you get the results.

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

I woke up with a sore throat yesterday, a bit of a headache as well. Went in to the nearby drive through testing clinic about 11am , throat and nasal swab done. Got the SMS results 11:41 am today, Negative. Had to isolate for the 24 hours till the results came through, that was annoying enough, I definitely don't want to do 14 days. The dogs were sitting looking confused, wondering why they missed out on 2 walks.

I'm pretty sure I got it from my little nephews, who got it at daycare, that's how these things spread. Even my 81 year old Mum has it now.

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

I heard this study quoted in a podcast I was listening to while walking (slowly) with my dogs this afternoon.

Around half of the people who get COVID, will experience long COVID. Meaning 6 months after they no longer test positive, they still have ongoing issues. They are not back to the baseline health they had before.

How many people get 'long COVID'? More than half, researchers find: Half of COVID survivors experience lingering symptoms six months after recovery -- ScienceDaily

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

I've been following this story from yesterday , and this story just popped up.
    https://nodq.com/news/update-on-wres...ng-vaccinated/
I've been on vacation up in Packerland for the last few day, and the fans seem to be pretty indifferent to Rogers covid status. But, I think that it's down to him being unliked at this point, more than his vaccination status deception. That will probably change when they loose to the Chiefs this Sunday.
