Lint Free Towel for Quick Detail Spray?

I have a whole bunch of the soft, heavy, blue non border towels for removing polish, etc. They are great for that, but they absolutely suck for QD removal/use.

They constantly leave behind a sticky type of lint when using a QD (Meguiars Gold or Griot BIS). Not quite sure why, and it almost seems like it’s waxy. Don’t think it is because of my towel wash agent (Griots), with no fabric softeners used. Is my towel not getting washed thoroughly? I’ve tried machine and by hand, same result.

Is there a particular towel y’all use specifically for QD ?

I'm not sure I understand your question entirely.

But you didn't mention what brand MF towels you are using.

Cheap Costco MF's are great for door jambs, etc. But not for the "final touch" of a QD.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

    Rag Company Eagle Edgeless 350gsm.
    I like the purple ones.
AutoGeek is out of stock on them.
They refunded that part of my order earlier this month, due to an unknown “back in stock date”.

No lint or sticky stuff left behind.

I have several varieties of their MF towels and some of them do give me some grief depending on what I’m using it for. The thicker gsm red towels seem to clog up.

Don’t recall the brand. Towel Pro? They are not Costco nor any other cheap kind. Very thick, very soft MF. Been using this type for many years, and never have so much as left a swirl behind on Black, Red, etc. They work outstanding for polish removal, sealant removal, etc.

Just leave behind a lint filled film of sorts when using QD.

This vehicle is a freshly cut and polished Black, last one was a brand new Orange vehicle, full PPF. The towels did the same thing even on the PPF, only when using QD (or on windows)

I wonder if that’s actually the issue? Maybe my heavy towels are actually too heavy. I forget the gsm, but they are up there . Problem is that I don’t have thinner weight towels I would trust on freshly polished black paint.

I’ll have to pick up some lighter ones.

I have a black truck, and between the black paint and the glass, nearly every microfiber towel I have used will leave lint (tiny fibers) behind.

While not perfect, the best I have found to minimize the lint at a reasonable price is the Cobra Edgeless Forrest Green's (in any color). Another that does pretty good, but is more expensive, are Meguiar's Ultimate Wipe's.

Both of these are fairly lightweight towels.

The Rag Company. I like the Everests, pluffles and 365 Miners for QD’s and sealant application.... shorter nap...

    Here's what I use:

Cobra Shine & Buff Waterless Wash Towel, 6 Pack

I use these for Rinseless Wash, and Waterless Wash. The new ones aren't quite as plush as they were a few years ago. They work great, and the two different colored sides help to keep track of what you are doing.

That’s what I use to for rinseless washes. The only problem is the McKee Glacier PFM drying towels I bought are the same gray/blue color. But I also like the different colored sides, just need more color options.
