Glass cleaners with water repellant.
In your experience, do you feel glass cleaners with water repellant are less prone to cause issues with wipers than a true glass coating? For example Pinnacle...

Diamondite has a new one out too. Duragloss with rain repel is another.

•I don’t use either of those types of
products on my vehicles’ auto-glass.
•I’m perfectly happy with the results I
get from using plain ol’ glass cleaners
such as: Meguiar’s D120, Detailer’s Pride,
Sprayway, Stoner’s Invisible Glass, etc.
-and that includes the wipers not having
issues with “chattering”, or the such.

I would hate to think what those kind of glass cleaners would do to my paint. Because it will certainly get on the paint in some way, shape, or form.

You have so much shiit on your paint now Paul that nothing will penetrate it.

Re: Glass cleaners with water repellant.
I’ve used Wolfgang Perfekt Vision on exterior glass for a long time. It does help with water repellency but I also have the glass coated underneath. The cleaner on top makes my window coating last a real long time (or the cleaner is pretty good at repelling water). Inside I was using McKees 37 Krystal Vision but recently started using CarPro Clarify.

Re: Glass cleaners with water repellant.
I bought a gallon of Pinnacle back when they were closing out their black gallon jugs. I have LOVED it, Ive also used the Invisible Glass with rain repel and love that! The stoners is much less expensive so I am going with that since my Pinnacle is out. I have never noticed anything negative on my paint on either of my 4 cars.

I also have used a few. WG, Pinnacle, Stoners. I like them and have never personally had an issue with wiper chatter or complaints from any customers.

And no adverse effects to your paint/LSP's?

Are you maybe thinking this is about windshield washer fluid? Those I’d be concerned about the paint but a glass cleaner, which is what I think this is about, then it doesn’t really get on the paint if the person cleaning the glass is careful at all.
