    Yes...a 394 ci motor..!

Carb is a mess. Flies down the interstate with ease but falls flat on face on low speed turns.

Buggin crap out of me---no one can't figure out why it's doing that.

Tom this is beautifully finished, love how the gold just came back to life!

Thanks for all the photos documenting everything, I know it’s not always easy to stop your work, take pictures and get back to work.

Sitting that long the carb more than likely needs to be taken apart and cleaned as the old gas has probably gummed some things up. Be nice to have a rebuild kit. Check rockauto.com

If there has been gas sitting in the system that long, you'll need to do more than just clean the carb, the whole fuel system incl. tank would need to be flushed/cleaned.

More specific to the stumbling on turns, I'd be checking the carb float first.

I should add to check for vacuum leaks. Check/replace vacuum hoses as needed, check the accelerator pump for proper operation as the rubberized material may have a defect from drying out.

Great work Tommy! The power of 7!!!!!! Excellent results...and super cool that it's your car!!!

I would look at the float level, sounds like the bowl(s) aren't full enough and she's starving for fuel in the corners.

    Especially if it's a Holley.

Exactly. Took the words right out of my mouth, Dave.

Re: Big Block 64 Olds Super 88

We've done all above---float bowls, vac leaks ect...

Pulled the carb off 7 or 8 times...

Even sent it out to an old school carb guy (twice) who does these old carbs and bench test them as well...Said my carb is fine.

    All new parts too...

    Still stalls out when turning.

Will attack later---too many cars to buff out now! Grin.

Check fuel pressure to the carb ?. A lot of those vehicles have a filter on the pickup tube in the tank.
