This is like an equivalent to the Rupes Nano?

Kind of cool so they release a version of the Ibrid and sounds like Rupes will release a version of a cordless full size DA at SEMA... WIN WIN for all of us!

I would think a competitor to the nano, AND the mini. Being that it can interchange from rotary, be a mini buffer, and cordless Flex is a winner. They just did the cordless 3401 forced rotation as well.

Did they? I've been waiting but haven't heard anything about the cordless 3401 being close to release

The only thing I wish this had was the ability to plug it into the wall and use it incase both batteries die.

Don't worry about that. I have all the Flex cordless polishers. I am getting 40 min run time out of a battery minimum, sometimes more and it takes 40 min to charge a battery so one when one dies the other is ready. Plus you can always buy an extra battery and really have constant power. Polishing without a cord is so much easier than with a cord. No getting the cord caught under tires or around carts etc. The cordless polishers are light, and well balanced and they run quieter than their corded counterparts. No high pitched whine. Once you use a cordless polisher the corded ones feel ancient.

I kind of assumed this, that one could top up a depleted battery while the other is in use with about the same time passing. Thus no down time of use.

Not sure, about this, but are both the batteries provided with this machine both of the same Ah rating?

Like what you say about easier, and as well quieter. Never yet used a cordless, I had assumed the former, but wasn't sure about the latter.

I have both 4.0Ah and 2.0Ah 18V batteries. I only use the 4.0Ah batteries and have never used the 2.0Ah one yet. I usually do a whole car with 2 batteries. I run them down to 20% left and then swap in a new one. by the time the second one is at 20% I'm done with the car. Also the first battery has fully charged.
