2013 C300 in Polar White now better than new

So Steve, a good friend of mine for 12+ years brought me his wife's 2013 C300 AWD. IMO, one of the the perfect daily drivers in terms of performance, style and features, especially for someone not in need of a huge vehicle.

They purchased the vehicle at about 1 year old and it's now going on 6+ with about 60k miles on it. The paint wasn't horrible but was definitely wearing swirls and was pretty badly contaminated. I used 14 pads on this vehicle to keep them clean and fresh.

In terms of what we targeted package wise, it was my Premium Enhancement Polish followed by a few coating options. The goal was to reduce the swirls as best possible without breaking the bank and given it's white it will hide lots of things too. However, the hydrophobic property was key to achieving go-forward success making clean up a snap.

2 layers of Cquartz UK was the coating selected, followed by a single layer of CarPro Gliss on the horizontal surfaces only in order to attack the surfaces most impacted by gunk and to balance out the budget he was looking at spending. It was a great move as it allowed money to be spend on the trim coating. This way that diamond pattern grill up front along the entire bumper and lights as well as the rear bumper and windshield cowling will no longer fade nor be an issue looking dull. What you see here will stay clean and dark for a long time.

Lastly, I gave the interior a good once over, parked the Ozone machine inside to give it a like-new clean smell and I took a few extra minutes to polish up the door jambs and fancy MBZ Sill kick-plates which now look super nice.

Here's the pictorial of what was done.

The car overall was just pretty dirty and the paint filled with contaminants

Years of car washes and harsh towels make an impact and cause the finish to swirl and dull-out.

B Pillars are pretty easy to clean up and now these are swirl free. Sorry for the poor cell phone image on this one and the other two above.

Some end of day Golden Hour or close to it, images of the after. These are a little better thanks to using a real camera vs phone

No more need to dress the trim on the front. It's coated and will stay black.

The wheels weren't too bad originally and while they aren't coated, they have been polished and are wearing a nice sealant on them now.

No more having to dress up this bit of trim along the bumper

    No detail spared...

Thanks again to Steve and Karen for trusting in my work. Steve's Loire Blue Metallic Jaguar XJ is coming next week. The metallic in it is stunning and it's going to amazing. Like a rolling blue-suite on wheels.

    Process:

    • Wash
    • Decon with Fallout Remover followed by some Nano Mitt Medium attention
    • Tar and bug removed with mineral spirits
    • Polished with Rupes Mille and corresponding yellow pads using CarPro Essence
    • Coatings involved were CarPro UK 3.0, CarPro Gliss & GYEON Q2 Trim
    • Windows coated with Rust Oleum's Never Wet for Glass
    • Final wipe down with CarPro Reload
    • Tires Dressed with Stoner's Tire Shine
    • Ozone Treatment inside followed up with Zero Odor Professional
2019 Pearl White Accord 2.0T Touring (mine)

    Very cool car!

    Awesome work, too.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
