Re: Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)
I'm going to post a pic when I leave work, on break right now but I looked at my car when I got back to the shop and I have to say the tires look really good. The small sections where its tan/brown I can live with, I work it out but when you touch the tires its dry as bone but has that "plastic look" to it, best way to describe it. I know this, my winter tires will be getting this coating for sure, great test as they are usually very pores (its never too early to think about these things). I'm either going with the Blizzaks again or those Nokian winter tires that have what's best described as a Swedish hockey players name on them as the model Its all going to come down to whether or not 16" steelies clear my brakes!

Oh you can count on it! With everything I've gone through here I have a plan for it and its this, when doing my maintenance washes I'm going to foam the entire tire and wheel and NOT scrub the tire, just the rims. I want to see if any brown is brought to the surface to be washes away, then a simple swipe with my tire and wheel drying mf towels is the only contact to the tire. I feel the coating will hold up fine this was, along with removing any surface "stuff" from the tires. It's going to be interesting to see how it is in the rain because you can actually see the coating, looks different and when touching it certainly feels different for sure, no doubt about it.
Stay "tuned", you bet

Re: Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)
I think your browning issue is from over cleaning or too harsh a cleaner. I'm thinking the super clean pulls too much of the good stuff out of the tire and your forcing the blooming to happen as the good stuff migrates to the outer surface.

I didn't use it before the initial application though
