my suggestion is always do a little extra even if it isnt noticed. doing a little extra isnt about the customer-its about how you feel when the job is done.

    My take?

If you planned on washing the vehicle as a part of the package than I don't see and issue.

This is where you save OLDER tatty wash mitts and/or brushes and wash these areas FIRST before starting at the top and working down. Of course, still do wheels and tires first.

    So,

    Wheels and tires first.
    Then wash lower muddy panels.
Remove mitts, wash buckets, brushes - anything used to clean the muddy areas away and out of the wash area so no chance for cross-contamination
Wash vehicle - start at the top and work your way down
