Congrats on getting your old car back Justin! And you will get her show car finished soon. Amazing story behind it. Maybe your son was to little to remember the car? Or is he as happy as you are? Do your family fit in the car or is it on the trailer to racing and show car meets? You maybe could get your wife a bigger fun car to drive with you to the racing events and meets.

Thanks everyone.
I think my oldest is more happy than me! He definitely remembers the car as he has talked about it frequently.
Yes they can fit in it right now. But it's definitely a bit more of a race car. No overdrive, no AC. And it will be getting a chromoly 10 point cage later this summer. But I do fully intend on taking out to shows and drives here and there.

Very cool!
Handsome future chick magnet you got there.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Congrats! I've been seriously looking at buying my very first car over again but sadly the original is likely long gone. Good condition ones are too pricey but they are out there. I end up quickly looking at other older more vintage styles that I might like too.
My wife thinks I'm crazy and perhaps I am...
Glad you were able to bring her home.

Stock bottom end LS1, Arp Rod bolts, 236/240 cam, LS7 lifters, LS6 intake, 80mm Throttle Body, Headers, Texas speed True duals dumped before the rear. 150 wet shot nitrous setup.
Trans- Used to be a t56 6 speed and I swapped it to a Built TH350 with a reverse manual valve body setup and FTI 4400 converter. Also have a Lingenfelter 2 step launch controller on it.
Rearend- Moser 9 inch with 31 spline axles, Strange center section and Locker with 4.11s
Suspension- qa1 adjustable front coil over drag shocks up front. In the rear is Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable drag shocks with stock springs. Wolfe Racecraft adjustable drag bar, BMR adjustable panhard bar, BMR Adjustable Tq arm, Lakewood lower control arms. UMI subframe connectors
Already made the appointment to have the chromoly 10 point cage installed mid July.
This year my goal is to get it cleaned up, paint work fixed, cage installed and get it road worthy and cruise it around and play with it. In the next year or two its going to get serious. Probably a big stroker motor and turbo setup. But may stick with a Procharger as I really love my Procharged GTO.
