I get what you are saying but how much time are you really saving since you already have to set the first polisher down, grab the second polisher, apply product to the second polisher then start buffing again. Not sure if you have tried this product out but it is super easy to remove. Add time to clean pads of the fly between sections also.
To me this is a risk vs rewards situation where the risk outweigh the rewards. I am sure SOME of the abraided paint will remain on the first pad like you said but definitely some will remain on the paint.

When you really think about it, how much time are you saving??? Maybe 5 minutes on a whole vehicle. Not worth it IMO.
Not trying to argue with you here buddy but just giving a realistic view and my thought process.
    Yeah it's cool

I have seen more and more do it that way. And some just prime the polishing pad and not adding any more product. Just work what is there already. And I'm with you on working clean I do to.

Look at this video where they use this method with a heavy cut compound

Those are techniques that differ “production car cleaners” from “TRUE detailers”

Whatever floats your boat as they say.

Re: 3D One new compound/polish quick review!

    Nice review Justin, thank you.

I am relatively 'new' to the use of 3D products, only having been given a bottle of Speed from my good buddy Don (Fly07sti) at Detail Fest this year & since my return to NZ found that we do actually have a Kiwi distributor here for 3D. So far the products I have tried have been great, their compounds & polishes give great results & I am a fan of the spider pads.

I believe 'One' is due down here within the next week or two, I'll be sure to grab some.

Again, thank you Justin for the review & the Challenger came out looking stunning too by the way! Good work mate!

Thanks for posting your results Justin! I tried it out recently as a finishing step with a blue Buff and Shine pad and it finished out perfectly. No hazing that I could see, gloss readings up there with other finishing polishes I’ve worked with. Low dusting and very lubricated, wipe off was easy, I agree with you on the smell too it’s not bad at all.

Thanks bud. Awesome to hear that you will be receiving it soon. I have a couple cars I'll be testing it out on in the next week or so.

Thanks! He booked a correction job for spring time after seeing the test spot I did.
