    Twin Headed Polisher information???

    Hey folks.

I came across this interesting little polishing kit a while back. I’ve searched for information about it but have come up with nothing at all. Unsure on the age of it but guessing from the colour of the tool itself & the box condition, pictures etc I would say eighties maybe.

Given that it plugs into the cigarette lighter of a car I doubt there is oodles of performance there.

Has anyone seen anything similar to this before, or shed any light on it?

    Damn right it has Paul!

I can almost hear their R&D departments sweating from here! Rumour has it that there's a 15 headed, triple action, corded/cordless polisher under wraps & you can change out backing plates from 6in down to 0.5in simply by using your imagination.

Seeing THIS post has rattled the cage of the big dogs of the industry . . . so much so I hear they won't even release it at SEMA.

Flex has a double headed polisher with a 19mm throw that many pros uses. It's a 240v electric outlet so it's not common in the USA. The pads you can use is 6" at the most. So it covers alot of surface when doing bigger vehicals. And you can tilt it up and just use the one pad. The stalling is minimal as it's belt driven orbital polisher and the left pad goes clockwise and the right pad goes counter clockwise. That gets you a smooth running and very quiet polisher. Flex Top Tool mk2 is the name of it.

    Yes, good point Tony.

I have seen pictures of it etc. It would be fine here because New Zealand is 240v but our New Zealand Flex distributor is a little lack lustre to say the least. Is it forced rotation do tou know Tony? Be ideal for the RVs.
