    Griot's BOSS Microfiber pad observation...

Picked up a few to try and I immediately noticed the fibers do NOT matt down like 99% of other MF pads. After you're done polishing a section, it's almost as if there was no polish on the pad. Obviously, there is, but they do not gunk up with spent product and paint residue like others. Very impressed. They also provide a VERY smooth buffing feel.

In your opinion, are these better than Meguiars mf pads?

Do they cut as well as Meguiars?

I'd say Meg's cuts a bit better, but the BOSS will finish better. They're also smoother and contour better than Meg's. Durability of foam has been in question for the BOSS MF pads, however.

I agree 100%. I’ve tried forever wanting to like using MF pads but none of em ever did it for me until I got some of the GG pads.

They are nice pads for sure. The durability of the foam in them isn’t the greatest from the ones I have. A couple of mine have issues.

I also think the megs pads clean out better from compounds and polishes.

Re: Griot's BOSS Microfiber pad observation...

We really liked the results we were getting with the BOSS mf cutting pads..... but they all failed so quickly, some in catastrophic fashion with pads flying across the room. Ultimately the BOSS pads were more expensive to begin with, and cost of buying new mf pads every month or so was a little much, so I decided not to continue using them. When they stay together they are really nice.

Griots upgraded the foam 4-5 months ago due to failure. I wouldn't see if it actually holds up better...

CarPro has just launched a new heavy cut mf that doesn’t matt down, cuts more than Megs MF and is extremely durable.
