Re: HD speed vs Megs D166
99% of the truck was one wipe and done there were a few spots very few but a few that didn't come out so easily everything look consistent as far as the pattern of the Polish but for whatever reason some spots were just been little bit more stubborn than others I'd say in that case it might have just the slightest lead Over HD speed for wipe off cuz I've never really had any issues with HD speed coming off but still very very good product I'm so excited to whatever else comes up with and the longevity of this and how it turns out

Re: HD speed vs Megs D166
So after doing the entire car I think I can honestly say that HD speed will still have a spot on my shelf now here's why it's thinner than I like its Danes my pads it doesn't have as much cut as d166 or Meguiar's 151 but it's the perfect all-in-one to use for my lowest tear production detailing for just a really quick to pass get it knocked out improve the paint work on the car and put some decent protection HD speed feels that perfectly now if I were to do a full cycle of six passes take my time and really finesse the vehicle then I for sure would grab Meguiar's new Ultra polishing wax before HD speed that's just how I see it my bottom tier wham bam thank you ma'am is going to be speed I upgrade from that is going to be Meg's 166 and then everything above that is going to be dedicated polishes and compounds

D166, see the "haze" right above the arrows?
HD side- better clarity. That haze is not there.
Who knows what would happen with a paint prep wipedown....

Re: HD speed vs Megs D166
Well it's hard to say and like I said above it really depends on what I'm doing
I was planning on using d166 all day for all my quick jobs but I really feel like it needs to be worked more to really take advantage of all it's benefits. It has amore refined feel to it I guess. Sounds weird but when I use it it might make more sense.
Speed is just that it's quick and can blast through the job very quickly for the results your customer is paying for in the time u need it done
So for quick work
Speed
D166
151
Taking your time and working it all in
D166
Speed
151

HD speed vs Megs D166
D166 uses SMAT abrasives, so it doesn't need to be worked a long time.
D151 is not one of their better products, IMO

I like it to work it longer if I'm not quite at the level I want it at.
