CarPro Essence Plus on Uncoated Paint

    Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to give a short review of Essence Plus on uncoated paint car. I was a Menzerna Powerlock fan, but after browsing here and there, I finally bought essence plus last week. At first, I'm afraid that the application will as complicated as CQuartz or any other ceramic coating (Yeah, I have to learn a lot about how to apply coating properly).

First I polished my car with Menzerna SF-3500 and then topped it off with Essence Plus (DA + Black Finishing Pad). And the results you can see below

    On scale 1-10:

Looks = 10 (if you prefer glassy finish)
Durability = still unknown especially I live in tropical climate with high UV and temperature, I will report back 2-3 months from now

Application isn't as very easy as Menzerna Powerlock. In some areas that perhaps I applied a little bit thicker than the other, I have to wipe off 2-3 times. Also I found essence+ a bit dusting than Menzerna Powerlock (little to none). But I think I will play more with Essence+ than my Menzerna. I love how my car looks after using Essence+, Essence+ also fills about 50-70% swirls on the roof (I didn't polish the roof).

Conclusion: I think Essence+ can be an alternative paint sealant for people who are looking for 'ceramic/nano coating' looks but with easier application.

Essence yes, don't think + will hold up at all.

Essence + holds up in terms of hydrophobic properties around 2 month or so in Canadian winter.

Well, we'll see how essence+ hold up after several washes (based on the waterbeading and sheeting).

@WillSports3 do you apply essence+ above coated paint or just simply on bare paint?

Thank you for sharing your experience. Any report on the durability? Did u try topping it off with reload or any sio2 spray? The car looks great. Thank you in advance.

I think this is going to get you a couple of months of decaying durability. I've used it several times for spot "repairs" of swirled areas, and the areas are fairly quickly noticeable again -- usually a couple of months later. On the other hand, it is nice to have around for doing quick visual touch-ups.

Perfection is attained by slow degrees; it requires the hand of time. (Voltaire)

I'm seeing 6-12 months of durability from Essence+ depending on aftercare in the Pacific Northwest.

I've used it and have since given up. I have a nearly full bottle in my cabinet for no real reason. Not a fan.
