look what happend on LC polish pad

using PC, speed setting at 5, the velcro part of the pad just ripped off by itself.

I've tried to glue it and hoping I can still use this pad

unfortunately, LC pads are out of stock

Re: look what happend on LC polish pad

Did you by any chance run your PC while it was not in contact with anything? If you spin pads in mid-air this can happen very quickly. If not then that sucks. Sorry man.

Re: look what happend on LC polish pad

This also happened to me the first time I was polishing.

My problem was I used too much pressure, however I was on a 6.5" pad with a 5" backing plate on the 6 setting... Since then I've used 5.5" on the 5 setting and never had a problem since.

How old is this pad? It looks worn since the letters are fading.

Re: look what happend on LC polish pad

I use to glue the pads on my cyclo a few years ago on a regular basis. Contact glue. Just don't get any where it might come in contact with the paint. Elmers also has a contact adhesive in a reddish and white tube-contact adhesive that looks and smells like clear silicone. Works great hand.

Re: look what happend on LC polish pad

@onlycodered - sometimes when cleaning with the brush

@Keatonus - that's the exact scenario when it came off

@Promode - the pad was fairly new.
