    CCS 6 Pack

I'm looking at getting a six pack of CCS foam pads to go with the Griot's polisher I'm going to order and I'm trying to figure out what to get to have a good all around set up. I'm thinking about getting:

    1 Yellow
    1 Orange
    2 Non coarse green
    1 Blue
    1 Red

I'm thinking that's a pretty good mix for mostly what the average jobs look like, plus be able to do some thorough correcting as well. Time to dump this auto zone oribital thing and get serious...

    Thoughts?

My best piece of advice to you is to get flat pads instead.

    2 orange
    2 white
    1 blue
    1 black

Order that x2 and you will be set for a bit.

+1 on flat pads, more durable then ccs and produce better result + easier to control.

I was wondering about the difference between the flat and the others. It seems like the flats might be easier to clean with the Duo Spur thing.

So if I'm going with flat pads on a six inch plate, which pads do you guys recommend?

I like the HT pads a lot. But what the other guys are trying to tell you is 6 pads each of a different color isn't a good idea. You need at least a couple of each color you're going to use to get through a car.

    Re: CCS 6 Pack

I've used recently 2 orange and 2 white flat pads on a medium size car with 105/205 combo ... 4 pads p/car is my minimum.

    Re: CCS 6 Pack

3 orange, 2 white and a red or blue. Later on order more and then include a couple yellow and black. I dont use the green at all.

Last I looked the LC flats were on BOGO. I think 6.5 inch, but, the griots can spin them.

Get 5.5 if you are not taking advantage of the BOGO. You will need a backing plate to accomodate the smaller pads.

Dont use a Duo Spur on your foam pads. IT is for wool pads.
