    Question about proper pad use

I'm getting ready to detail my 2015 370 and haven't done any detailing on this level in quite awhile. I have a flex 3401 and a UDM (Ultimate Detailing Machine) that was sold here several years ago. The paint on my 370 is in extremely good condition. It's garage kept and I've used Blackfire sealant a couple times a year since it was new. I have a bunch of white LC CCS pads and quite a few green properautocare pads. The green pads are basically LC's constant pressure ccs pad, they're green with a layer of blue foam under the velcro. I don't have any defects to correct really so I ordered the Wolfgang swirl remover and finishing glaze 3.0 to replace my aging Menzerna polishes. Does anyone see a problem using the white pad with the swirl remover and finishing up with the green pad and finishing glaze? I also have several black LC CCS pads if they would be beneficial. Below is my plan for the weekend.

    Wash car
    Clay bar
    Swirl remover with white pad
    Finishing glaze with green pad
    Wash car
    Blackfire sealant

Re: Question about proper pad use

I'm scratching my head trying to remember where that green pad fit in...I mean, yes, it's in the area of the white pad, I really can't remember if it's slightly coarser or slightly finer. There were two different green foams back in the day, the "German" one, which I think had more cut, and another one. Maybe someone else remembers.

There was a coarse which has been replaced by the pink, and the current green.

Is the green pad more coarse than the white?

The white pads feels a little firmer than the green pads do. I'm going to use the white for the swirl remover and the green for the finishing glaze. I'm thinking it should turn out pretty good.

If they're smoother to the touch, you should be all set.

I like those green ccs pads too.
