If the wax was dried on and you cant get it off this MIGHT work. I apologize in advance if this suggestion does not work for this product.
Thanks, I will give it a try, never even thought of that.

Re: Fuzion wax and black trim

Fuzion by hand is the best. Noticed you said "off to wash then Fuzion" .
Hopefully you're doing the wash with the Tornador foamer.

Re: Fuzion wax and black trim

When you say wax by hand do you mean with a foam or cloth pad or with your bare hand?

I don't know why but I'm having trouble getting any slickness out of my fuzion. I mean, yeah, it's probably slicker than bare paint. But it feels much less slick than 6 of my other products. I don't know if I'm not letting it set up long enough or too long, putting it on too thick or too thin, or wiping it off too clean, but at this point I don't even know if I have a layer on still from how non-slick it is. I still have to wait for an actual rain before I can judge the beading.

Do you guys judge slickness by running your finger across the paint or with a microfiber? Maybe it's just not compatible with my finger swipe test =)

I use a gold foam finger pocket to apply Fuzion - works great! Use VERY LITTLE product, spread it thin-thin-thin. I do a couple panels then return to buff with a Cobra gray MF towel.

I do this in my garage, out of direct sun. I turn on the overhead lights in the evening, open the garage door and let a few bugs in...then I watch as they try to walk up a sloped section of the front quarter panel or hood ... little legs go like crazy but the bug goes nowhere fast.

Regards,
GEWB

Re: Fuzion wax and black trim

No, my fuzion is the recently released mini sample size, so shouldn't be frozen. You know, I think the slickness varies now depending on the humidity, or moisture of my skin. It varies a lot more each separate time I feel for slickness compared to my other products, maybe this has to do with the wax component of it while my other products are mostly sealants.

I tried another panel last night that felt bone dry "squeek squeek" and it definitely added slickness. It was kinda slick when done, quite slick this morning, we'll see about later. The other panel I did a few days ago felt slick this morning too, but not slick last night. It must be reacting differently to my fingers differing conditions, or the environment. But I'm glad to know it's still there on the panel.

Re: Fuzion wax and black trim

Did you do a minimum of five prep steps and a wipe down before applying?

Also, less is more.

Re: Fuzion wax and black trim

Uh, let's see

wash, mothers pre-wax cleaner, clay, meguiars swirlx, IPA, wolfgang paintwork polish enhancer, fuzion. Then fuzion again cause the first time I left it on for 15 minutes, this time I wiped it off within a minute of application.

For all it's worth, maybe the fuzion is fine, it's just not the slickest product out there. What will really tell if there is a problem is if the durability is good through the next few months.
