Detailing Trim on 2012 Jeep Wrangler

My stepdad is buying a 2012 Jeep Wrangler 2 Door Sport tomorrow and the trim is in need of some love. I was going to scrub it with the Cyclo brushes on my HF polisher with Meguiars APC. I was going to then treat it with either Dlux or Solution Finish. My question is, how much will I need? Will 1oz do or would I need more?

    Thanks,
    Will

I use Solution Finish. Just get the big bottle and be done with it. Do the math.

Thanks guys. Does Autogeek carry the bigger bottle? I can't seem to find it.

Last time I detailed a Jeep it was only the wheel well guards that got any trim restoring product.

What's new on your Jeep, or what areas are you looking to add the product to?

I saw the car at night so I couldn't see the full effect, but the front bumper is plastic trim and it looks like someone tried dressing it before but stained it some. That's why I'm going to scrub the bumper first to remove all/most of the gunk. I'll post pictures tomorrow after my stepdad picks it up.

Re: Detailing Trim on 2012 Jeep Wrangler

I did a 2014 Jeep Wrangler hard top back in September. I used Carpro DLUX on the hard top, bumpers, mirrors and wheel guards. It was the 30ml bottle. I used just over 1/2 of the bottle.

The owner loves it. He said he finds it amusing when he leaves for work in the morning and all the beads from the morning dew come rolling off the hard top as he backs down his driveway.

Use a strong trim cleaner. The Mother's Heavy Duty Trim cleaner is very good product. On heavily textured (pebbling) trim using a water spot remover can do wonders to remove the graying. A lot of the chalkiness embedded in the valleys of the texture is hard water deposits.
