What are these specs/spots!?!

Ive tried using a clay bar, mineral spirits, and neither take these risen specs off. The only way some of them come off is with my finger nail. Do you think it's sap? It's not tacky or sticky, it's dry.

It is a bit difficult to see, it looks like bug splatter? have you tried tarminator or tar x and let it dwell a bit then wash/ wipe off?

It is hard to see. Maybe paint overspray from commercial painting?

Is it all over the car?

Or if it is more localized, possibly road paint. If you're lucky, someone accidentally dropped a can of latex on the road.

Sorry for the bad picture but the spots are so small. It's just on the hood, roof, and tonneau cover...I'm wondering if some sort of tree did this?

If they are white I would think the chances are it is man made. Not to many trees or insects secreting white substances.

I've got the same issue with my 2015 f150. I think its odd that I have it in same locations that u described. What kind of vehicle is it that u have?
