    Quickly removing sand on exterior

I just bought a new car and I'm trying to take care of it the right way and I'm new tonall
of this. I live in the desert and it can get very windy so my car will often have a layer of sand on it even the day after I wash it. Is there a safe way to just brush the sand off without causing damage to my paint? Like one of those brushes that are real soft to just give it a quick clean off.
Also, I'm guessing I should wax it more often due to the windy, sandy conditions I live in. Is that correct?

Thanks in in advance for any help.

Water will be your only alternative without scratching the finish.others may chime in with a rinseless wash thing, but I wouldn't do it.

A decent layer of wax or paint sealant will help in getting rid of the sand/dust when spraying it off with water.

    ^^ this.

If you can get it polished and sealed up really good where the surface is perfectly smooooooth, and keep it coated, the chances of sand "sticking" to it will be greatly reduced. When blasting it off with say a power washer, it will also come off rather easily.

Re: Quickly removing sand on exterior

Hi, welcome to AutoGeekOnline! Congrats on the new car purchase.

There is no safe way to brush sand off the vehicle. The best thing to do is keep it waxed/sealed/coated and use a water source to remove the sand. In between washes you will just have to live with the sand on the surface.

Yes you need to stay on top of vehicle car more often.
