    Mixing APC

I've been doing this for a while and I thought I'd share it. When I mix my go-to APC's (Zep Citrus, 505 and LA Totally Awesome), I don't mix them with water. I mix them with the soapy water mix I'm going to wash the car with. It doesn't negatively affect the performance obviously and if anything, I find it makes them perform a bit better.

    Re: Mixing APC

Reminded me of this from a few years back.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUGU...ature=youtu.be

I've had one bad episode with APC+ 20:1 and one bad episode with OPC 10:1 ... water/apc. Both did NOT dry on the paint and were rinsed thoroughly and both left bad stains on the paint, sand colored and black. Both were sprayed onto wet paint from a pre-mixed dilution from a spray bottle. Naturally, I'm a little gun shy. I have not tried the apc's that you use though.

I take it you're mixing in a bucket like in the above video? I would be more comfortable mixing apc this way with the wash soap than direct spraying onto wet paint.

I like that idea, Richy. I am going to try it with an engine detail later.

    Richy,

I'm going to assume you typically only use one type/brand of soap? If so, then are you putting your soap solution into bottles and then mixing it with your apc's and using it that way? I had trouble picturing in my mind exactly how you were using these and that's what brought the Garry Dean video to mind.

    Re: Mixing APC

Sorry guys if I didn't take the time to properly explain what I meant. Instead of taking my spray bottle with APC and adding tap water and then more APC (when it needs refilling), I am taking the almost empty bottle and submerging it in my wash bucket and adding my Megs Hyper Wash soap mix into the bottle and then topping it up with the appropriate amount of APC (4:1 or whatever). Hope that makes it more clear. Sorry for any confusion.

Lolz. I love GD - but it's funny watching him clean wheels with a toilet brush.
