    And while I agree at getting your finances in order, and finding your employment first, I tend to disagree with used cars. Doesnt matter is US or import. After having my share, I have found the piece of mind of a warranty and the ability to secure additional transportation immediately without cost is likely worth the depreciation. You also dont know whos trouble you might be getting, as all cars are now mass produced. (I hear theres a couple decent cars from Louisana FLOODING the used market currently). I dont relish standing at the dealer, nor looking for a tow truck, and in most cases need to do nothing other than basic maintenance (oil/tires) ... so for me and my family I will continue to purchase new when possible.

    Well it all depends. If you can afford to buy new, it is probably the best way to go. That way you know the history and what not. If you are a little strapped for cash, I would definitely buy used to make the depreciation a little less of an impact. I'd rather have a used BETTER car, than a new cheaper and maybe "not so good" car. But everyone gets their choice, and who cares what other people do. Do what you want to do.
