UDM vs Black Expedition

When I bought this truck last month it was almost white with heavy oxidation, and scratched like it had been driven through the woods. I removed the oxidation and most of the deep scratches with finesse-it III and a direct drive buffer. My new UDM kit from AG finished the job.

I'll repost some daytime pics, but here's a few from tonight.




Notice in this last pic how the storefront sign reflection looks much better in the paint than the windshield.

impressive, excuse my ignorance is a direct drive buffer a rotary or one of those that attatch to an aircompressor..im stuck over here in PC land so ive never heard of that term..hehe what pads/polishes combo did u use with the UDM

Thanks!, and yes, a direct drive is a rotary. I used the same Black & Decker Buffmaster that I was using 20 yrs. ago when detailing cars at my brother-in-laws shop. It was my first job after high school.

I got the Intermediate XMT kit from AG. I used all three steps and sealed it with my favorite polymer.

Looks great! When you post the daytime pics would you have any "before" pics too? It's always fun to see a drastic turn around.

Nice work there! You have a very well lit garage which helps your shots look great..hard to do at night. I especially like this one however:

To bad there isnt any befores, would have made a great thread.

I dont know about any of you, but out of god knows how many hundreds upon hundreds of vehicles ive done i have never seen CC oxidize.
