| | | 2001 GrandAm GT spruce green (couple quicky vids) Me and AJ tried earlier in the year to set something up but it never happened because of lifes situations…………it happens. 2001 Grand Am GT This vehicle was a thorn in my side. Unforseen problem after another. Process Wash, no 2 bucket method, no point. Foam gun, optimum carwash, 1 bucket, old wash mitt, wasn’t gonna hurt it worse than it was with 1 improper wash. No clay, owner clayed ahead of time, about 1 day before. Rotary: OHC/edge yellow wool/1500rpms OHC/edge blue foam polishing pad PC: Danase Swirl Abolisher I/CCS white polishing pad/speed 5 Problem #1 I sprayed down the front end with stoners tarminator first Before washing, like I always do, This is what happened with that: After hitting it with a 4” pad and OHC at speed 5. I have NEVER had that happen before. Easily cleaned up, just very weird. Problem #2: AJ said right away he wanted his pin stripe removed. No problem, done it a million times. This time I didn’t really inspect the finish like I should have. The entire driver side has been re-sprayed with clear coat. The problem was they sprayed OVER the pin stripe. To make matters worse when I started I started at the front driver side fender and all went well and quick. Then I got to the driver side door. At this point I realized that the whole door had been repainted. I could see the indents of the pin stripe. At this point I stopped what I was doing and inspected the rest of that side. Sure enough, the whole side was repainted, but with clear only. That’s what was weird, very weird. The driver side door, driver side rear door and quarter panel was re-sprayed with clear. But just clear, they didn’t wetsand and buff out. Good old quicky, cheapy paint jobs. |

| | | Looks good, you brought that green back to life! It has a nice smooth quality to it now. If only Pontiac didn't make the sides of their cars back then so they looked like they had aluminum siding on them...
That's trippy about the Tarminator....

| | | I've had tarminator do that on other plastics as well... im not sure if it's some type of reaction to the plastic or what... but it scares the piss outta you when it happens

| | | It definately spooked me.
I just calmed down and tried a 4" cutting pad and OHC and it came off fine. |
