    Acid Etched Correction

Can I get rid of stains, spots and smears on my car?
many would have left it alone and ignore if possible
my intention to share my experience and hopefully , it will give you some light and show you how to removed this Mineral deposit or acid etching

I happen to be in my mechanic and i notice a huge mark etching on his newly painted bonnet
This is one of the moment where you stretch your limit to a the next level

during my early days of detailing ...i happen to encounter a badly acid etched car
ACIDISED Civic - paint severly corroded - Marke of a new year detailing

the acid strength stained and etched the clear coat and smear the paint far superseed

    close up shot...badly stained

later it was sanded down with 3M sanding disc with lube

it doesnt take a cobble to know his tools

    after sanded
I compound with M105 with Meg cutting pad
finish with Meg 205 with soft buff

    ta da

MISTING the QD prior wax application
    my lube

have fun and hope you wouldnt take your car esthetic so serious

life is for you to discover your journey ....sometimes it is up and rest is down
and dont let the down stop you from

Interesting... probably wouldnt have sanded it based on first look, but it worked so I can't complain!

I actually did tried compounding but wouldn't get 100% out and no point risking the paint being burned

    therefore sanding does help

    Re: Acid Etched Correction

Nice work. I got 3 areas on my hood that got etched so bad that it went through the clear and base, strait to the primer. I know we get acid rain often here in Hawaii from the VOG (volcanic particles) from the volcano on the big island. When it mixes with the rain it becomes sulfuric acid. That's what I think it was anyway. I could be wrong.
