02 Steel Gray M3

My friend just picked up this M3 with 160k miles on the body. It was a California car and never seen snow. I was told the only time the previous owner washed the car was at the dealer when it was brought in for service. There was definitely no wax on the paint.

Wash:
Turtle Wax Ice using sheepskin and 2 bucket method

Wheels:
DP Cleanse All Exterior (wheel paint chipped of at parts and had a lot of baked on brake dust. Did the best I can)

Clay:
Wolfgang using Meguiars QD

Polish:
Menzerna IP on the Green Edge pad

Wax:
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran

Interior:
DP Total Interior
Pinnacle Leather Cleaner/Conditioner for seats

wow, a real shame to see a nice car not cared for at all. Shame about the wheels, but the finished shots of the paint are very nice, you made a good bit of improvement on that car, great job

btw your using some nice stuff their, why the turtle wax ice wash? Does it work well for you, or just wanted to get rid of it?

Thanks for the compliments. I'm just trying to get rid of the car wash shampoo. After I'm done with it, I'll buy some from AG.

160k miles is a lot but the motor was replaced at 100k miles so it only has 60k on the motors and the car runs very strong.

Washed once, and no wax? Sheesh! Nice way to care for their expensive car!
Very nice job in detailing it! Paint looks much better too after your Menz attack. Very nice cleanup of those exhaust tips.

What a shame about that car, very poor condition indeed. I hope he got a good deal on it, especially in that condition and with that many miles.

Perhaps he can pick himself up a pair of newer M3 rims, would really do the car justice! Ditch the 18s and slap on the 19s...

He got an excellent deal on the car. I would've jumped on it if I had known. The stock 18s he plan to use as winter wheels and will be picking up a set of 19s for the summer (he is considering the oem 19s).
