Great writeup and pics! I'm about to go out and get started on my GTO with the AG goodies for the first time.

I love the VX tails and can't wait to get some, they look great on your QSM.

2006 Pontiac GTO, Spice Red Metallic, 6-speed, 17" wheels - minor swirls, overall good condition
2006 Honda Accord coupe, Black Pearl, 5-speed - Paint in bad shape, tons of swirls and water marks, sat on a dealer's lot for nearly 1 year

1997 Subaru Legacy GT wagon, Red, automatic - Crappy re-paint to begin with, much improved, may need XMT #4 on the roof

Your detail probably revealed the orange peel, which I think is good cause you gave your paint more clarity . The GTO is looking really good. I would get me some Max Wax but I already have Signature Series II.

It's sometimes decieving how much of a difference you make on a vehiclee when you're the one doing it. This is just because you see a slow progression rather than the dramatic before and after. Nice car and looks great by the way.
