Quickie on a White 530Xi 2006

Man-Oh-Man....my retina's can't take this much brightness! The dealer drove this 15,000 mile 530Xi back from Michigan and we washed it this morning. He said the new owner is getting it tonight....so away I went.

First up was the interior as that needed the bulk of the work (soiled carpets and the driver's seat was not looking too good). I used my mixture of dishwashing liquid + apc + warm water and scrubbed it down with a horse hair brush. Wiped the excess with a terry towel and used compressed air to blow dry the seams and switches. Following that, I used a hot water extractor on the carpeting.

On to the exterior. Obviously, this car was "almost" new with only a few surface scratches. Nothing serious, so I polished with Menzerna 106FF, then power washed the car. Final product was Meguiar's #21 which is gives a great shine and good protection.

That's it for this job. Now I get to start on a BLACK X5 tomorrow!

Toto

Gary: I think I'm going to try the Detailer route full time for the time being. I've got some resume's out, but haven't heard a word, so this might be the ticket. Time and $$$ will tell. If I generate enough income during this winter with detailing I should be more than set for 2008 Spring and Summer.

I need some business cards and I'll probably get a web site (maybe on the web because my business is so local). I put a Detailing Services ad on Craigslist and picked up a Mercedes CLK to do this Saturday.

See Ya

Toto

You're definitely a master detailer Toto. Once the word gets out I'm sure you'll do great. The best of luck to you.

Gary

Nice quickie! Great reflection off the hood in that 2nd shot! Is there a little "pearl" in that paint? Looks good!
Glad you came to a decision in your plans. All the best to you!

White??? How did that one slip in?
As always nice work there Toto. I love to look at any car you detail even if it's white.

I dunno....but it took an hour for my retina's to adjust. Not to worry though: I start on a Black X5 4.4 today.
