Talking Polished half my roof

I did what I could with the time I had, I was sad to go to work knowing I couldn't play with my UDM anymore . Since I washed my car yesterday, I just QD'd the roof with DP 4 in 1 QD dilution (2 oz to 30 oz of water in a spray bottle). The roof was pretty hot from the sun so I decided to put the QD bottle in a small bucket of water and ice. It got cold real fast, and then I sprayed the roof and wiped off. Then I clayed, and then taped off the area. I used XMT 3 with the CCS orange pad. I swear this stuff breaks down fast. Am I doing anything wrong? The weather was hot as well. I always use speed 6 when I polish. It felt like I worked it in for only 1-2 minutes. I really need some good lighting though, but then I can see that the polish becomes translucent. So, I finished up the right side of the roof , took off the tape, cleaned up the polish dust, and took pictures. I was so happy with the results . Onto the pictures:

Left = polished

My favorite shot!

Hopefully I don't work on Monday so I can do the rest. I also need a nice stiff brush. I'll try and look for those brushes used for nails (the one Al-53 mentioned). Thanks for looking!

Looking good there, bud!! Those 50/50 shots really show the difference, plus it was cool that you used the reflections of the houses in your last pic.....left side is a nice sunny day, right side looks like a hazy, hot day! LOL
DP 4n1 in a bucket of ice.....I thought you were going to drink it! LOL It has a light citrus scent though. Yeah! I smelled it.

You look like you've pretty much gotten the hang of this whole polishing business. Are you following up with XMT 1? I've noticed that using that adds even more depth and finish to an area you've gone over with XMT 4 or XMT 3 already. Looking good!

pirex - Thanks KT I love the look of my roof, well half of it hahah. Yeah the house picture is my favorite . I'll for sure post more as I go along! Hope your dog isn't snoozing too much when you're awake!

alban61 - Thanks alban! Hahah, the house on the right side is looking pretty hazy. It was actually a hot day, even at night! Haha nah I wasn't going to drink the 4 in 1 . Yeah it does have some citrus scent! What else have you been smelling ey?

Gary Sword - Thanks Gary! I appreciate the compliment

Tonya - Thanks yeah the 50/50 shots just really show the difference. My friend said "OMG" when he saw the results. He kept saying it was as shiny as his car.

Pauly6401 - I've watched a lotta videos and read how to use the porter cable (well UDM is basically the same) and I took all that and used the knowledge through my hands . Since I was pressed for time, I didn't have time to follow up with XMT 1 although I wanted to. I'm sure it would look even better after a pass though.Thanks for the compliment .

Thanks a lot Nica! haha yeah the neighborhood is nice, but not always 100%. There was some idiots who rammed our garage and it fell on our car and a rental car! They got away..they also rammed a neighbor's garage and ran over a neighbor's lawn (they're lucky). Well back to detailing... Yeah I'm getting the hang of it! it's so fun . I can't wait to finish the whole car. Hmm vehicle after vehicle ey, can't wait to make bank . I just need to experiment way more with my UDM and develop some technique that works for me.
