Detailed: Porsche Racecar

So today I woke up at 11:30 and realized i had a detail to do at 12. I jumped in the shower, got dressed, grabbed the camera and car keys, then left.

i got there right before 12 and was led to the garage. This car is amazing. It'll go over 200 mph and is super light. It had not been used in the last couple years due to the owner's breaking his arm, so it was sitting in the shop for a year and then came here. The car battery was dead so i had to wash in the garage (that was fun lol). While i was washing, a couple spiders jumped out of the walls, but luckily i was armed with DP Cleanse all and it killed those spiders in under 20 seconds (yet another use for this stuff!!!).

Anyways, the car was filthy from sitting for such a long time and it was swirled very badly (it is a race car after all).

Wheels: DP Cleanse all, EZ Brush, Soft sponge, AA Tirefoam
Wash: DP Autobathe and DP Cleanse All via schmitt/2 bucket method
Clay: DP clay/lube
Polish: PC XMT3/Orange pad on hood, fenders (front half of car), PC XMT2/White pad Whole car (XMT2 got rid of some swapped paint on the right fender, sorry i didn't get a pic)
Wash: Same as before
Wax Natty's Blue via PC

Now for pictures

Before:

It's kinda been sitting a while lol

It's got some nice reflections haha

Did i mention it was dirty?

After the wash, now we can see what really has to be done here

I <3 swirls

After:

I <3 no swirls even more though! (sry it's out of focus, but yea, no more swirls )

That's more like it!

I like this pic and it shows off the reflection, so yea; here.

This paint glows!

Seriously, it glows...

so yea, this was the most fun detail i have ever done, and i got paid $200 for it.

Since i did a good job on this, i get to do a cadillac on tuesday, and if i do good on that, i can do the rolls!

this is going to be an interesting week.

Nice Job! It looks like it had been sitting for a while. Were those cat prints on it. He should get a cover for especially if he has a cat that walks on his cars.

Nice work. You should've told them you used a special wax that required you to drive it "around the block".

Very nice turn around and a sweet vehicle too. Really like the gloss and depth that you achived. One thing I like about Porche is the flares and curves they have, just love the curves and when detailed properly those curves look incredable.

Well done, thank you for sharing.
