Tonya, do yourself a big favor and buy a PC.....you'll be blown away by the results compared to doing it by hand, although you did an excellent job and the car looks great! You're a good student | Thanks for the leg compliment!
I have been afraid of the PC, worried I will screw something up, burn the clear coat or something. After realizing just how much work goes into a detail. I might just get over that fear!

Tonya, couple of hints. Klasse SG is bulletproof but a pain in the keister. Use a small travel size spray bottle and literally one spritz per panel. WOWO immediately without allowing to dry. If you get a stubborn spot, respritz and rewipe immediately. Quote: |

| | | I'm trying out my PC for the first time this weekend Tonya - I'll let you know how scary it is, but I think it should be ok. Plus we are trying to resurrect a buddy's truck which is pretty bad, so that makes it a little less scary.

| | Yep, you wiped the protection right off! Time to start over
j/k, of course There are different methods of using different products and Klasse is one of those that has been experimented with in search of an "easier" way to use it, hence the wipe on/wipe off method. Pinnacle Souveran and Max Wax are wo/wo products, but you "can" let them haze before removing, but it's easier not to. There is nothing scary about the PC at all, ask Lauren, and it WILL NOT damage your finish, unless you drop it or bang it against your finish . It's a random orbit polisher, in which the entire pad moves like your hand(mimics the movement)--in little circles. A rotary, on the other hand, CAN burn your paint/clearcoat if you don't know what your doing. It just spins at high RPM, which creates a lot of heat. Just remember, if you get a PC or UDM, start at slower speeds(1-3), then move up the speed as you get used to it. It's a hell of a lot easier than doing it by hand, I promise you that!!!!! |

| | | GREAT JOB Tonya! The toes and the wave hello shots brought a big grin to this old man.
Silver is tough...but it looks like you have the process down pretty good.
I've got a private client car to do this weekend....some kind of giant Mercedes 4 door AMG sedan with a supercharged engine...high buck car and he wants it done "just so"...and, it's black of course.
Anyhow, congrat's on the detail...very nice.
Toto
