    Correction Day!

In the sun for inspection and a very good wash. This will be the last time we wash the car until it's next appointment.

    Coating next!

The car is looking great after M205 and a light IPA mixture to wipe down the surface. This is the kind of gloss I prefer to apply any type of coating on.

Self cleaning abilities and water beading comes to full cure in 7 days. A follow up wash is INCLUDED for all my coating packages. I'll update this thread when we do.

    Thanks for reading.

Why wash it so many times ? Use air compressor and blow out the dust and do a IPA wipe down....could have saved 3-4 hours of work ...

You could launch air borne particles into your paint at 200 mph with that air compressor.

    1. High pressure / low volume - compressed air
    2. Low pressure / high volume - leaf blower

A simple wash on a 2 dr coupe with professional gear shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

With all the compounding and sanding we did, i wanted to get into the cracks and stuff without worrying about scratching the paint during final inspection.

Any scratching during this final wash can easily be addressed during the polishing stage. Polishing is usually a low dust, LSP method.

I've had too many instances where dusting cracks before coating could leave behind minor scratches if you're too aggressive. Which could be the case if tape residue is stuck to a soft rubber.

Awesome job and awesome car. You don't see too many of them around anymore.
